Low - Momentum Nucleon - Nucleon Potential and Hartree - Fock Calculations

چکیده
A low-momentum nucleon-nucleon (N N) potential V low−k is derived from modern realistic N N potentials by integrating out the high-momentum modes. The smooth V low−k may be used as input for nuclear structure calculations instead of the usual Brueckner G matrix. Such an approach eliminates the energy dependence one finds in the G-matrix approach, allowing this interaction to be used directly in Hartree-Fock calculations. Bulk properties of 16 O have been calculated starting from different N N potentials. Our results, obtained including up to second order contributions in the Goldstone expansion, are in good agreement with experiment.

The nonperturbative nature of inter-nucleon interactions is explored by varying the momentum cutoff of a two-nucleon potential. Conventional force models, which have large cutoffs, are nonperturbative because of strong short-range repulsion, the iterated tensor interaction, and the presence of bound or nearly-bound states. But for low-momentum interactions with cutoffs around 2 fm −1 , the soft...

متن کاملGamow shell model and realistic nucleon-nucleon interactions
We present a new and efficient method to obtain a Gamow shell-model basis and matrix elements generated by realistic nucleon-nucleon interactions. We derive a self-consistent Hartree-Fock potential from the renormalized NLO interaction model. The corresponding Gamow one-body eigenstates are generated in a plane wave basis in order to build a Gamow shell-model set of basis states for the closed ...
